"Hi I'm Dan on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we are going to talk about swing using the brushes on the snare drum. The basic rhythm is the same as I was using the right cymbal or the high hat but its technique is a little different. There are multiple techniques but the one that I like using is kind of like the figure 8 form. It would sound like this. Now you also want to keep the high hats beats 2 and 4 just like I was playing the right cymbal. It would sound like this. So your right hand is still continuing the same rhythm as if you where playing the right cymbal but just on the snare drum. On the next segment, I would show you how to incorporate the snare drum when your are playing time."
