"Hi I'm Dan on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to talk about drum sticks. Drum sticks depend on what style of music that you are playing and also what kind of player you are. These are a little bit thinner then normal drum sticks and then also have a plastic tip or a nylon tip. Which is common for jazz players to get a brighter sound when they are playing something like a cymbals. A alternative would be more like a rock jump stick which would be a little thicker usually. Just wood tips because you are not looking for the bright sound you want more power sound. Watch the next segment where we would talk about match grip verses traditional grip."
