"Hi. I'm Jabari Pride. Welcome back to ExpertVillage.com. The drill we just did was karaoke. Now we are going to do push-ups. Push-ups are a great way to really get the upper body warmed up as well. You just don't want to do exercises that only involve the lower body. You want to incorporate the upper body as well because when you're running you're using the upper body. Go down to the ground. When you're doing a push-up it's really important to keep your back nice and level. The don'ts of doing a push-up; a lot of people, you will see them, they might have that bend at their hips and their backs aren't straight, so when they're going down their backs aren't flat or if they have too much of a curve in their spine when they do the push-up they come down and they aren't really doing a correct push-up. You want to have a nice flat back you want to have your hands either directly down from shoulder or you can have the base of your palms slightly ahead of your shoulders; that's fine to. Feet together, head straight, back straight, come down and you come back up. Simple. When you get to the bottom you don't want your body to rest on the ground. It's ok to come down and pause a second, but when you pause you don't have your body touch the ground. You come right back up. So, a push-up looks like this. That's a push-up."
