We are going to start some drills. The first drill we are going to do are called butt kicks. With this drill you really want to focus on getting your ankle to your butt. That's why it's called butt kicks. You want to keep the ninety degree angle at your ankle. A lot of times you see people doing butt kicks and they bring their foot out behind them and they bring it in towards them. That's the wrong way to do it. That's the way you don't want to do it. The correct way to do it is to actually bring your foot straight up underneath you. So you're kicking your butt; the closest distance between your foot and your butt is a straight line so you're bringing it straight up. Now, I'm going to demonstrate that by just running along here real quick and just showing you what the butt kick looks like. As you see; I kept a ninety degree angle on my foot, I brought my foot straight to my butt, I didn't bring my leg out, that's the butt kick.
