"Hi, I'm Jabari Pride, and you're back with ExpertVillage.com We just got done talking about the shoes and the equipment that you're going to use when you're running track. And now we're going to talk about hydration, and that means getting water and fluids back into your system. A good thing to drink is any type of sport drink. And another really good thing is water of course, but the sport drink tends to put more of the things, like salts and what have you, that you sweat out, back into your system. Okay, now with that said, when you are hydrating yourself, and hydrating just means getting the water back in your system, when you're hydrating yourself, you want to make sure that you do it, like, in a timely, kind of spread out manner. If you're warming up, and you sweat a lot, and you're about to compete in ten minutes, you don't just slam, you know a gallon of water right before you compete, to make up for all the water that you lost. As you're warming up you know, you're continuously drinking water, getting it back into your system, so that way you don't have to just force all that water back into your system right before you compete. So with that said, remember warming up, you're sweating, put the liquids back into your body. Do it in a timely manner, you don't want to just slam it all into your system at one time right before you compete. And make sure that you, you know follow those guidelines and you should be okay. Next we're going to talk about some of the basic warming up stuff that you're going to do for track and field. Thank you."
