"Go! Go! Hello, my name is Matt Cail, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to throw a Super Bowl Party! While your guests are going to be looking at the Super Bowl, most of the time, oddly enough, some guests will not necessarily be football fans. That's just fine! The Super Bowl has become so big and so prolific, that a lot of non-football fans will watch the game, regardless. One of the reasons they will watch the game: commercials. Millions of bucks are poured into the commercials each year (we are talking a million bucks a second, in some cases). This can also lead to another fun game which is not directly tied to football. It can therefore engage some of the other not-so-footballish types at your party. This is called "the Commercial Game." How this works is: each guest will take a certain type of commercial. You'll separate this out on a score card. You'll try to divvy these up to be fair and to give everyone an equal shot at winning. For example, in a game I played last year, I took beer commercials and another person took car commercials, another person took shipping commercials (how to get things from point A to point B), and still another person took tech commercials (your computers, your cell phones and that type of stuff). What you basically do is, you bet which commercials are going to show up the most. So, every time that there is a beer commercial, you mark a check next to the name of the person whoever has beer commercials, and so on. It's kind of a nice fun way...actually, beer and car commercials, while they have the reputation for being the most frequent, the last two years I've watched the Super Bowl, they have actually not been the most frequent type of commercial on there. So, it's a nice little fun thing that your guests can do, and it can get you through the commercials, which gets you back to the game."
