My name is Niall O'Leary from the Niall O'Leary School of Irish Dance in New York City and today I'm demonstrating intermediate Irish step dancing. The next move is called the back click. For this one you are going to click your heels behind you. The first thing is to swing up the back foot so you're up a little bit because we're going to move to the left, we're moving in the direction of the foot that you're landing on. So you're going to push off with the right foot and land with the left foot. This is what your legs are doing, the left leg is up at the back and then you switch feet. So, I'm lifting up the left leg, I'm going to let go when I'm in mid air. Watch...I wasn't eve trying to make a sound there. Now, I'm going to show you how to click your heels. You want your heels to click in mid air. The secret is to keep your knees aligned, if your knees are aligned then you're going to get your heels to meet. So this back click move is really exciting to watch, watch again.
