"Hi! This is Linda Brown and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. The next tip in enrolling your child in a ballet school is touring the studio. You might have a little bit of a challenge actually reaching the studio by phone, because many of the studios are going to be closed in the morning. Their busy time is after school and into the evenings. Do your best to reach someone and schedule a tour ahead of time. Check and see what the proximity from your home to the studio is. You don't want necessarily want to choose the one that is closest to you if that's not the best one for you, but you don't want to choose one that's so far that it becomes just a drudgery to get there each time. Check and see if there's sufficient parking for parents outside of the studio. Nothing is more frustrating for a ballet dancer than to be late getting into class because you couldn't find a parking spot. Tour the studio. Walk around. Get a feel for the environment. We have several tips we're going to go over for what to look for, but just see if this feeling is one that suits your spirit; if you feel comfortable with this environment."
