"Hi, my name is Marti. I'm coming to you on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today I'm going to show you how to iron a skirt. Also this is a lighter linen. If it were a darker color, I might use a flower sack or a light weight kitchen cloth on top of it to prevent it from discoloring. Linen has a tendency to take on a shine. It's another reason why I iron the inside of the skirt not the outside of the skirt. Again, hand block your garment to where you want it and you can see once you have your seams all ironed down, it really goes pretty easy. Linen has a tendency to take on a shine when you are ironing particularly if you're using a starch so again, it's good to iron to iron on the inside if you can or use a flower sack."
