Summary: How to sync your wiimote to the console in this free video on setting up and maximizing your Nintendo Wii.
"So now I'll show you the basics of working with the Wii remote. Here it is right here and the first thing you'll want to do if it's the first time that you play your Wii or if you take your remotes to someone else's house who has a Wii, basically if your using a remote with a new Wii, you need to sync it with the Wii. So what you do is first you open up the battery cover and you there's a little red button right here, hit that button, then you want to go to your Wii, you want to open up the little SD compartment in the front and you want to hit the red syn button and that should sync your Wii with the remote. I've read that if you have some problems, if this method doesn't work, at first hitting the sync button on the Wii remote and the hitting the sync button on the console, if that doesn't work they say to push and hold the sync button on the console for 15 seconds and then try again. Or you also might try removing the battery, unplugging the Wii and then putting the batteries back in and plugging it back in and trying the traditional way again which is first remote then console, but if you have more problems beyond that you'll probably have to look online for a solution, but I've never had any problems syncing it so that's the best way to do it."
