    Series Summary

The Nintedo Wii has caused quite a stir since its debut in the winter of 2006. Getting your hands on the darn thing still remains a challenge, but owners are generally happy once the product is acquired. Major criticisms of the console note its lack of power and graphics compared to other seventh generation machines and the childishness of its launch titles. As spokespeople for Nintendo say, however, both criticisms are welcome. The mission of the Wii is simple: Get more people gaming. The target audience is people aged 4-104, and the people are responding. The titles are slowly ramping up to more serious subjects, including the Hitman franchise and others. It is said that even Queen Elizabeth II herself has enjoyed a round of Wii Sports with friends.

In this free video series, expert Nintendo game master Drew Noah leads you through setting up you Wii step-by-step. You learn all about the console, how to set it up from the box, how to connect the wiimote and nunchuk, and more. Drew also gives you detailed explanations of the interface and menus, including the Forecast, News, and Check Mii Out channels. You will learn to set up parental controls, how to download games for the virtual console, how to buy Wii points, and how to socialize by connecting your Wii to the internet. It is all here!
