"Hi, I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee and we're here today with Expert Village. We're talking about how to identify and how to handle ADHD in children and so I'm giving you some of the traits so that you can have a clearer understanding of what it looks like. Children that have ADHD that is of the inattentive type, they will seem like they're disorganized. They really cannot follow directions well and get organized in a particular situation. And I told you last time that they become distracted very easily, they have a lot of difficulty in remembering things, they tend to head in a direction and if something stops them they will go in the next direction. If something stops them they will go in the next direction, they just forget where it was that they were headed. Which makes it really difficult if they're in a classroom and the teacher has given them an assignment and they have to head to having a strategy, a plan. So the child that has the inattentive type of ADHD, they really have trouble making a plan to do their homework or making a plan to clean their room or making a plan to do about anything. So they really need help on how to plan this type of, to get past this type of problem with ADHD. So we'll talk a little bit more about some more of these traits so that you can get a real clear understanding of what these children are dealing with."
