"Hi, I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee and we're here today with Expert Village. We're talking about how to identify ADHD and how to handle ADHD in children. So when you begin to understand a little bit about the traits and the characteristics of ADHD it'll help you to understand what is going on. The child that has ADHD talks all the time. They talk all the time. They interrupt people. People will be talking and this thought comes in their mind so rapidly that they'll interrupt people. In a classroom the teacher will ask a question, they'll blurt out the answer. The child is just as I said in prior times, they're in perpetual motion but their tongues are too. They're talking all the time, they're blurting out the answer, they're moving in a direction that they're really driven in. So one of the things that we have noted with ADHD is you begin to realize that the child really is not able to stop it. There is techniques that could be used that'll stop it, but the child is really not able to stop it."
