"Hi, I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee and we're here today with Expert Village. ADHD is found in adults and in children and it is being diagnosed much more now than it has been in the past. Part of that reason is teachers is being more aware of what it looks like, parents are, physicians are even noting what it looks like much more than they have in the past. So it's not so much that ADHD is more prevalent now, it's just that people are recognizing it more. This particular ADHD it has several different components to it that hyperactivity where a child cannot sit still, they're are so impulsive that they do things without thinking, that's a component of it. ADHD is probably diagnosed more with the male children than with female children, even though females do have it a whole lot, but males have it much more and they seem to act out a whole lot more too with that particular disorder. So we'll talk about this a little more in detail the next time we're together. "
