How to Apply Powder Foundation with a Sponge

"Hi, I'm Kelly on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that you could use when you are applying a powder foundation. The next finish I'm going to show you is applying your powder foundation with a sponge, which is going to give a much fuller coverage. So we are just going to just take our sponge, get a little bit of our powder on it there, and we are just going to kind of do a patting motion with it especially if you have a area you want a little bit more coverage on. We will just do this half of her face so you can see the difference between the fan brush and the sponge applications. You can see we a have a little bit better coverage on some of those little discolorations she has there on her cheek. So just by patting it you're getting a much fuller coverage than you do when just brushing it on, plus a sponge is going to pick up a lot more of the pigment. It's a really quick and easy application technique that you can use and if you look at her, having the fan brush on this side and the sponge on this side there's definitely a big difference in the amount of coverage that you would get. So that's how you would want to apply a powder foundation using a sponge. "
