"Hi, I'm Kelly on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that you can use when you're applying a powder foundation. So now that we've exfoliated and moisturized her skin and her under eye area. We are going to prepare to apply foundation , so we are going to apply a foundation primer to her face. Basically what this will do is it's going to smooth out the texture of her skin. It will fill in and minimize the appearance of any pores or any fine lines and wrinkles so that your foundation won't settle in any crevices. It also helps to create a barrier between your skin and your foundation so you will have a fresher looking face throughout the day as well. What happens a lot of times with foundations is that it has a tendency to kind of absorb into the skin. So using a primer will help to alleviate that issue. So it will keep your foundation looking a lot fresher throughout the day. It will soak up any oily shine. If you're a dryer skinned person it will keep your makeup from looking dry or dull throughout the day. Also, it helps to more evenly distribute the color over the face and it helps to prevent the color from turning throughout the day as well. That's why its really important to apply a foundation primer and that's going to really help your foundation stay on a lot better for you."
