"Hi I am Kelly on behalf of Expert Village I am going to show you some tips and techniques that you can use when you are applying a powder foundation. So now that we have exfoliated her skin using alpha hydroxyl acid and we've dissolved any surface flakes or dead skin we are going to apply a moisturizer so this is just a really nice light weight moisture lotion it's oil free and now that we've exfoliated her this is going to allow our lotion to completely penetrate into the skin so when we do go to apply our makeup we won't have any stickiness or tackiness on the skin because moisturizers are not formulated where they can penetrate through any surface that has skin flakes so even though you may be moisturizing if you are not exfoliating your moisturizer is not going to work as effectively as it could for you which in turn could interfere with your make up if your moisturizer is not penetrating into your skin as deep as you need it to be it's going to be laying on the surface which especially with a powder foundation it could lead to your powder foundation oxidizing and either turning colors on you or looking really cakey or clumpy throughout the day. So if you are exfoliating and then applying your moisturizer it's going to be much more able to penetrate into the skin where it needs to be to work the best for you and also so it won't interfere with your make up. So that's how you'd want to apply a moisturizer"
