"Hi, I'm Kelly on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that you can use when you're applying a powder foundation. So, there's a few things that you want to take into consideration when you're trying to determine what type of tool that is going to work the best for you when you are applying your powder foundation and what kind of technique you want to use. The one thing of course and the most important thing you want to take into consideration is what type of coverage you want. If you have any discolorations or anything like that that you want to cover, you definitely would want to use either your sponge technique or your foundation brush technique that's going to give you a little bit fuller coverage. If you're just looking for something to kind of either bum around the house in or you're going to run to the grocery store really quick and you want something to even your skin tone, you may want to use the fan brush technique. You also want to take into consideration whether you are a dry or a oily skined person. If you are oily you definitely want to apply your powder dry. You don't want to apply it wet, you also want to make sure you are choosing a powder that's going to be oil free and maybe have a little bit of oil absorption power for you. If you're a dryer skinned person, I know a lot of dryer skinned people have a tendency to shy away from your powder foundations because they do have more of a tendency to settle any flaky patches or anything like that, so you may want to choose a powder foundation that you can apply wet or choose even a mineral powder foundation will work really well for you because this will have a tendency to bind with the skin really well. This will work really well for dry or oily skin. So, definitely determine what type of skin type you are and what kind of coverage you need and that will help you to determine what type of tools and what types of application techniques are going to work the best for you.
