"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you some tips and techniques to create a smoky eye. So a really cool thing that I like to do when I'm doing a smoky eye if it's for an evening look, is to take a little bit of my lighter color and take it on my blending brush. And I like to just kind of do a little bit in right the center of the eye and in the corner, because that will really cause the light to hit there especially in an evening situation. It gives a really cool reflective effect to the eye area. We're just going to pat it in with our finger to blend it, because we don't want to look unblended, but just a little flash of light right there in the center is really pretty, especially for an evening look, of if you're in more of a candlelit environment or anything like that, it will really catch the light and brighten the eye, so you'll have this really nice smoky effect but then you have this nice pop of lightness right in the center which really sets off the eye nicely. So applying a little bit of a lighter color to the center and the corner of the eye is a really neat thing that I like to do to set off the smoky eye look."
