"Hi, my name is Hayley Kaufman. I'm a licensed cosmetologist here on behalf of Expert Village. In this series I'm going to show you how to do makeup like a pro. The most important thing about doing your makeup is to start off with a fresh face. So in this clip I'm going to teach you how to wash your face properly. So if you have dry skin, you want to use something without alcohol in it or it will make your face more dry. This is a Gerard's really good cleanser. I have sensitive skin so I'm going to use this one on me. And, this you want to use at night time, and then in the morning time you want to use something with a scrub in it. Because when you sleep all your dead skin cells just kind of sit on your face. You want to get it off in the morning. So this is thicker, there's a lot of multi-grains in it; you just want to get the dead skin cells off you. Every morning and every night then you want to go to a toner. You just put a little bit on a cotton ball and you rub it across your face. It takes all the excess dirt off, makes it so you have very clean pallet to work with when you do your makeup. And the last thing is you want to use a really good moisturizer. All of this is Gerard's. You just kind of wipe it all over your face, let it dry, and then you're ready to start. "
