"I'm Jennifer Miller with Institute for Reality on behalf of Expert Village. We'd like to leave you with a demonstration of home-done geography in action. This is Ezra. He's five, and using Geography Matters Trail Guide for World Geography. He learned the following information in the first three weeks of school. He'd like to give you a demonstration of what he knows. And we're using the world map and the North American map that's produced by Uncle Josh on his "Uncle Josh's Outline Map" book. Can you point out North America? South America? Europe? Asia? Africa? Oceania? Antarctica? Good. Can you point out the equator? Good. And the Prime Meridian? Good. And the Arctic Circle? Great. Can you show me the Arctic Ocean? And can you show me the Atlantic Ocean? Good. Can you show me the Pacific Ocean? Good. And the Indian Ocean? And the Southern Ocean. Very good. Where do you live, Ezra, on this map? Good. And where is that? Which continent? North America. North America, that's right. So let's look at our map of North America. Can you show me Canada? Good. Can you show me the United States? Good. How about Mexico? Good. Greenland? Where's the Arctic Ocean on this map? Good. And where is the Atlantic Ocean? And where is the Pacific Ocean? And how about the Bering Sea? Good. And where do you live on this map? Can I hold this so I can see? Where do you live on this map? Very good, and where is that. New Hampshire? New Hampshire, right. Now, when we're talking about polar bears, where do they live? They live in the Arctic Circle. In the Arctic Circle, that's right. And how do we remember where they live? Because "arctus" in Greek means "bear". That's right. Very good."
