Hi, my name is Jim DeYoung. I'm with Fat Cat's Family Bowling Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. You can see us on the web at I'm also here on behalf of I'm going to talk to you about things to avoid while your trying to bowl. There's a lot of things that can happen. Some people wind up bringing their ball behind their backs which winds up making them follow through across their left shoulder. Instead of bringing it back and coming straight up, they wind up bringing it behind them and then around them. One thing that does is that it causes you to lose your mark substantially to the left. You end up tugging the ball and with then with how much spin is on the ball you'll end up either guttering or take out three pins on the left side. Another thing to avoid doing is on your push out is hitting your leg. When you hit your leg you should automatically stop. What that will do is that will hurt your arm swings completely off so you wind up bringing it out and then you'll try and compensate it and bring it back. That will force you to drop your shoulder and follow through and wind up probably guttering the ball. Like I was telling you earlier in the last couple of clips about focusing on your mark. When your standing there make sure you put your ball straight out towards your mark. Actually aim right for it as your on your push out. What that does is creates your shoulder to be coherent with your mark. As you follow through you wind up throwing right directly back at it and you follow through.
