"Hi, my name is Jim DeYoung. I'm here in Salt Lake City, Utah with Fat Cats Family Bowling Center. You can see us on the web at fatcatsfun.com. I'm also here on behalf of Expertvillage.com. Right now we're going to talk about how to aim for your shot and to play your shot. Basically out here on the lanes, you can see some dots up front here and some arrows. The arrows, for every arrow there is, it's five boards so every arrow, five boards. For right hander?s, it goes five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, thirty-five, and forty is the other pin. For a lefty, it's the same thing, just opposite. Basically for this shot I have lined up right now. I'm going to line up towards the ten boards, which would be the second arrow from the right, and I'm basically just pulling my shot from there. I'm going to grab my bowling ball of course. Line up to the shot like the step before. I'm going to take a practice slide and make sure I can slide. Line up. I'm square. So a good thing to do is when you're going to line up to your shot is, you want to put your bowling ball towards your mark. So, when you take your first step, you want to put your bowling ball towards your mark, so that gets your shoulder coherent with your mark. So I'm going to do that really quick. I wound up missing my mark because of one thing, and it was because of my grip. I gripped the ball too hard, which ended up making me tug the ball."
