"Hi this is Ash on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, I'm going to tell you how to bowl an out-swinger delivery. An out-swinger delivery is the one that moves away from the batsman. As you would notice, in the leather ball, the bowler keeps one part of the ball really in shine, and the other half is usually kept dull. So to shine the ball, constantly from one half, this is used to ensure that a swing happens. For the out-swing, you have to use your index finger here. You hold it between these two halves on the threads, and your middle finger comes right beside it. This is how your stance to hold the ball looks like. Where you have your thumb here on the other side, so this is how you hold the ball. Now make sure all of the ball, the part that is shining, is on your left. So this is the part which is shining, so when you bowl the ball, this shine would ensure that the ball is drifted towards left, going away from the batsman. This is also known as a reverse swing. Let me show you how this works. So you hold the ball, as I showed to you. And you come and you bowl. Now after you bowl, this shine in the air keeps the ball drifting slightly away from the batsman, so it goes toward the left. Let's now see an example of this delivery. Now since this is a fast bowling action, you would need to ensure there it is a good run up. So the bowler takes the run up is running from a distance and this is how it looks like in real time."
