"Hi this is Sean Hobson for Expert Village. What we want to talk about right now are the proper mechanics for our linebackers, our defensive backs or our linemen to make a good tackle. The first thing that you always have to have in order to make a good tackle is you have to stay low. Once we have our low base, once we're ready to explode through, then the next important thing is we have got to wrap up the person that we're tackling. Then to finish the tackle it is very important to drive through the tackle. You never just want to come up and make contact and then come up and let your body have negative resistance. Instead, you want to come in, you want to wrap up and then you want to drive your feet on through the tackler and it's going to look a little bit like this when it's done at first speed. Set, hut. Good. Now, it may take him a little time to drag that guy down, but I can guarantee it that if you keep your feet moving you will eventually bring that guy down and make the tackle."
