Video Transcript

"Hi, my name is Matt Vansteenis and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to learn how to snowboard today at Cannonsburg Ski Resort in beautiful Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this segment we're going to teach you the basics of going down the hill, that's why you all want to snowboard. You've got everything squared up, knees are bent, and you?re centered over your board or a little bit on the front. Not like this, so like this. We'll start with our heel side turns first. So basically, you just drop your shoulder, turn, go straight, and turn that left shoulder. Remember, when you go down, knees bent, shoulders spin to the left, if you are left foot forward, if you're right foot forward, which is "goofy", you're going to go the other way, just on your heels. Bend your knees, turn your shoulder, rock on your heels, stop."
