Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Matt Vansteenis and on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to learn how to snowboard at Cannonsburg Ski Resort in beautiful Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this next segment we will talk about how to turn on our heels. So toes were, remember, knees bent, leaning forward, leading with that front shoulder and rocking over on your toes. So the heel edge is exactly the same. So you get centered, maybe lean forward a little bit, and lead with this front left shoulder. You are going to turn and rock back on your heels. You bring that toe edge up. This is a very little, a very minute lift on the toes. You will notice that if you keep your knees bent you are going to rotate your shoulders. Alright with this segment we are going to talk about how to start small and work your way up on the tow rope. So whenever you come out, if you are with your friends or whatever and it is your first time, make sure that you start small. Do not go right over to the chair lifts and try to think you are all hot. Start small. So you can come here to the tiniest hill at Cannonsburg and we are going to start small. So we will show you how to do the rope tow both ways, first in front of you then behind you."
