Video Transcript

"Hi, my name is Matt Vansteenis and on behalf of Expert Village we're going to learn how to snowboard today at Cannonsburg Ski Resort in beautiful Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this clip, we'll show you how to set up bindings. So, first of all, you need your snowboard, your bindings, your disks that come with the bindings and usually, four hardware. So, you set the disk in the binding, you find the proper degree that you want. So, like I ride regular, so my left foot is my front leg, so I usually ride fifteen. So, positive fifteen. Spin the disk to the little arrow right there. Put it on the board. Hardware this bad lad in. Now, you can use a regular screw driver if you want to, but regular screw drivers are lame, so I use my trusted Dewalt. Make sure you don't power it all the way through and send the bolt through the bottom. Just kind of get it snug. There. Done. So, number two is exactly the same but you might want to put your binding on the opposite way, spin it out. So, you can either have it so it's at a zero degree angle, like that, which is pretty uncomfortable, but some people like to ride that. The way I usually do it is I ride the same. So, I've got fifteen up on the front so I switched the back binding to negative fifteen. So, it's kind of make you look like you're all duck-stanced but it's a lot more comfortable that way. It's a lot easier on your knees. So, same exact thing. Done. Now your stick is ready to shred."
