"Hello, Reggie Hayes again here with Expert Village. Now, we're going to talk about TV inputs, alright? Now, in our small home theater we decided to go with the 27 inch TV. It has, with our 12 foot wide room here, it had about the best distance to our person here. Now, the reason we have such an elaborate stereo, is because our TV has limited input. Now, you can also have a TV that has multiple inputs, but your best bet in a lot of cases is going to be to let another box, such as a stereo receiver, do all the video switching for you. So, in connecting your TV, it's really simple. All you're going to do, is you're going to send a video signal from your source to your TV. Now, we are going to get into how to hook up each component here later, but as far as hooking up your TV, all you're going to do is you're going to come from your video monitor out. The yellow is always going to be what's called a composite cable. The four pin right here, which is the round one, is always going to be called your S video and the red, blue and green here are going to be called your component cables. They carry the three main colors, of obviously green, blue and red. Now, they also have HD in my connectors, a lot of advanced stereo systems these days will have those connectors on them as well. In connecting your TV, the main thing to remember is not to get to overwhelmed by the amount of connectors on the back of it. It's all labeled. It's all made really simple. So, the best thing to do is to find your source and in this case it's going to be the receiver and go from your out to monitor into the back of your TV."
