"Hi, I'm Noe for Expert Village. Make sure that you've washed the ginger because we're not going to peel it. I'm just going to cut a few thin slices, three or four. These are bigger than the one's we did for the beets, so I'll just use three and we're just going to add them to the bowl of marinade. The next thing we're going to do is crush some garlic, with the flat side of the blade of the knife. Just smash it and once you smash it, the skin comes off. Let me just discard that. Then you can smash it up a little bit more, just crush it up. This is how my mom did it and how I do it. That's one big clove. Basically, you just want to get enough pieces that it's going to impart it's flavor to the marinade. Now, we're just going to take these and put them in the bowl. Now, we're just going to give it one more stir, just to get everything mixed up together. That's our marinade. The next step will be to cut up our chicken and put it in the marinade."
