"Hello, my name is Angela Faiola and today on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to learn how to make gnocchi. For our next step, we are going to take our peeled potatoes and we are going to mash them with potato masher. Actually efficiently this is called the potato ricer. It is a old fashion kind of thing but this what my mother use to use. Regularly you would use one of these. The problem that I have with this is you would get a whole bunch of lumps I would show you. Since we are going to add it to the flour, we don't want all those lumps. I just think that because this has all these little holes they would come out more uniform. So that is why I prefer this. If you want you can use this, just mash it a little bit better and it would be fine just as well. So let's try this, you are going to put your potato in and you just squeeze it out. See how that comes out all neat and perfect, I love it. It is so much better. See how it comes out perfect, it is almost becoming a cream almost. There is saying in Italy "Don't change the old road to the new road". I mean sometimes old ways are good to. I say if it was good for granny it is good for me. Look at that beautiful. It is quick to. You don't have to be that strong to do it. I just look like I'm putting in a lot of effort. Last potato. Alright and there you go the potatoes are ready."
