"Hello, my name is Angela Faiola and today on behalf of Expert Village we are going to learn how to make gnocchi. For our next step, we are going to be boiling our potatoes. Remember that the potatoes should not be green. We are going to get nice potatoes. You want to put hot water so turn on your hot water first. If you want, you can give your potatoes a quick rinse. so that way you will not waste the water while it is getting hot. Then put your potatoes right in there and you need enough water to more then cover them. I would say about a inch and a half above the potatoes. I'm going to put it on high. You want to add your salt and just put on the cover. The trick for potatoes to know when they are cooked you just take a fork, you put it right through the potato, when the potatoes is cooked it would slide right out. Calculate about 15-20 minutes. So you are waiting for your potatoes to get cooked while your sauce is being cooked. We need the potatoes to make mashed potatoes that is the main ingredient for gnocchi. "
