"Hi. I'm Ben Anderson with Expert Village and I'm here today to talk to you about your work space and your keyboard environment. Your work space will be very important to how comfortable you're going to be able to play, either in a live setting or in the comfort of your own home. It's always important to find the most amount of space, the most amount of room you're going to have in the comfort of your home, 'cause keyboards will take up a lot of room depending upon how your set up is. If you're using multiple keyboards your set up will be much larger, and therefore you'll need a lot more space. So always make sure that you have enough ample room, so that you feel comfortable when you're playing. It's the last thing any performer needs when they're playing is to feel uncomfortable because it will affect your performance. In a live setting, it's a lot harder to determine what your work space is going to be because a lot of times you never know how much work space you're going to have to work with, so it's always good to be able to be prepared to adjust your work space, to fit whatever it needs to. Often times, I play with two keyboards, with multiple keyboards, and I find if I have not a lot of room on stage, it's a very small stage, I might decide to only use only one of my keyboards, rather than two, so that I have more room to work with, and therefore I feel more comfortable while I'm on stage. A comfort you'll find as a musician is the most important the most important thing that you can use to really help you while performing. If you're uncomfortable, it really will affect your performance and you can be uncomfortable in many different ways, but space is certainly one thing that you want to make sure you have, especially considering the size of a keyboard, and the movements that go along with playing it. A guitar, the movements are much more - they're much more confined to a limited amount of space, whereas a keyboard, your arms are going to be flying all over the place, so it's best to give yourself enough room so that you're comfortable playing."
