"In this section we're going to talk about actually writing the verse. So, we've got lots of ideas here. A verse can be anywhere from four to I don't know how many lines. Maybe eight or ten. You don't want to be too long so it bores people, so I'm going to try and find the structure and really nail it down for you guys quickly so I was like 'Dad, if you would had it together' so I know that this part I like, but then I wanted to come back with dad again, right. And then dad I wouldn't be out here so cold and alone. I'm going to do that. Dad I wouldn't be out here so cold and alone. I wouldn't be out here so cold and alone. In writing songs you want to really mix up repetition with variation. I mean if every single line that I do is totally different from the other, it's going to be all over the place, and if every line is exactly the same it's going to be boring. So you can see how I did some repetition, I was like 'Dad if you would had it together' then I went 'Oh, Dad, Dad' its repetition. 'Dad, I wouldn't be out here so alone.' So I just solidify and really find what I like, that way repetition and variation."
