"In this section, I'm going to talk about melody. What is melody? Melody is just a bunch of high notes and low notes. And notes in the middle. All mixed together. Okay, so let's take the first line, "Dad, if you had had it together." Alright? I can do, I can mix up high notes and low notes in any way that feels good to me. Let's make it high just for fun. "Dad, if you had had it together." Okay, high notes. Let's do some low notes. "Dad, if you had had it together." Middle notes, "Dad, if you had had it together." Alright? And I could middle with high. Alright? It's just high notes and low notes, try them in any arrangement that you love until you find something that you sound, that sounds good. You got to go through a whole bunch of bad sounding stuff until you get to the stuff that sounds good. Melody when you break it down, high notes, middle notes, low notes, all mixed together. That's all it is really. So just have fun, play around."
