"Hi, I'm Carolyne Heldman for zenergy yoga studio in Denver Colorado on behalf of expert village. In twisting, which are really really great posses for the digestive system for the respitory system for the immunity system, you want to make sure your protecting your lower back as well. When you are in a pose, a crescent lung for example, whether your on your knee or not, and you move into the twist with your hands at your heart center, you want to pull in in your low belly. Pull your belly button away from your pelvis pull your sternum away from your belly, but protecting that low back by pulling that belly in sending the tail bone back towards the heel behind you."
