Video Transcript

"Hello, my name is Samantha Raphael on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip I'll be demonstrating Pyramind Pose. Start by stepping your feet about three feet apart. Turn your left foot in slightly and turn your right foot out, make sure that your right heel is aligned with your left heel. Shift your hips back, especially your right hip, and then let your left hip come forward. Lift your chest with an inhale, reach your arms all the way up, lift your right knee engaging all the muscles along your right leg, as you breath out, tuck your tail bone under and then reach forward hinging at your hips. You always want to hinge at your hips, not round your back. Place your hands onto your leg, come forward as much as you can, and when you've come down as far as you can, just relax your head. If you feel comfortable take your hands to either side of your right foot and go a little bit deeper, make sure to continue to shift that right hip back, and if you feel really comfortable here and want to add a little balance move you can take your hands behind your back and hold on to opposite elbows, with an inhale your chest will lengthen and as you exhale, sink. When you're ready to come out of it with a breath in come straight up reaching your arms all the way up to lengthen. And as you breath out hands come to heart center, just bend that right knee a little bit and step to the center."
