"Hi my name is Benna Miller and on behalf of Expert Village in this next clip we'll be working on abs. Those abs that we need to keep so strong, so powerful in order to protect our back, our core, I'd like to illustrate the do's and don't of abdominal work. One of the do's is place a ball or pillow or towel between your legs. Roll on down. The reason for doing this is this helps prevent the hip flexers from taking over and doing the work for you. If your neck bothers you and for some people that would be the case, you can use the back of the mat and you can just come up and lower down. So ab work is available to everyone. Exhale and come up, pressing your lower back to the floor and roll down. This exercise does not have a great range of motion. In fact it has a very little range of motion. You keep squeezing the thighs together and let's take two more. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale and Inhale. Very nice. That was very well done and you see anybody can do ab work even if they're having difficulty with their neck because now you have support from your mat. The next exercise I'd like to show to you is to take your right foot and place it on top of the left foot, arms over head and in one motion with a deep inhale, exhale and come up and inhale tucking the pelvis under, roll down one vertebrae at a time and bring the arms back. Inhale, exhale, press back down, lift the body up, stretch forward and roll down. Of course we're going to take this to the opposite side. So, you put your left foot on top of the right, bring the arms behind you, inhale, exhale and roll up and slowly roll down, controlling the roll down. First the lower back, the middle of the back and last one; come up with that exhale, stretch forward and roll on down. Very nice job. Thank you very much."
