"Hi, I'm Jae Ellis, president of AskRomeo. com, and I'm Danielle, and I'm Jane. And today, on behalf of Expert Village, we're going to be talking to you about how to dress for a date. Gentlemen, let's talk about the basics. So, first things first. Your shoes and your belt, they need to match. So for example, if you're wearing like black shoes and a black belt, perfect. Brown shoes and a brown belt, perfect. Make sure it's the same shade or really close, okay. You don't want to mix really different shades, or really different colors of belts and shoes, it never looks good. It's always a problem alright. Next rule of thumb, you really don't want to have more than three colors in any outfit okay. For example, in this outfit, I'm wearing black shoes, a black jacket; I'm wearing a grey shirt, and blue jeans. So I've got three basic colors. I've got a few rings on and stuff so there's a little bit of flash, but in general, all you can really see is black, grey, and blue, that works. Two colors would also be okay. If you get more than three colors, it starts to become too much. You'll get more of a sense of this as you practice this more, and you can look in different magazines at celebrities and stuff like that and get a sense of what they wear. Next thing, let's talk about show pieces. So, in any good outfit, you've got maybe one or two show pieces, things that really stand out that distinguish you, call attention to how you look. For example with me, I've got my hair right here. This stands out. Anybody's going to see this a mile away. That's a show piece for me. I'm also wearing my belt, and my belt's got a pretty intricate buckle. So that?s a supporting showpiece for me. It's not as much as the hair, but it does stand out more than everything else. All my other clothing, it's nice but it supports those things, it doesn't take attention away from it. If you have too many flashy objects in your outfit, too many showpieces, no one is going to be able to focus on any one of them. Nothing is going to stand out and your outfit won't work."
