"Hi, my name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to make the next-best-thing-to-Robert-Redford pie. All right, let's go ahead and start by chopping up these nuts. I know I mentioned earlier that you could do this in a food processor. I just don't like doing it that way because I feel as though you lose control over your end product. I feel as though you go from perfect to powder in just a couple of seconds. So we're just going to set these here on the cutting board, and just take your time doing this. You're just going to start at one side. And obviously, a sharp knife here helps. A dull knife is just going to crush them and not actually chop them. And so we're just going to chop these up in small batches, basically, is how we're going to do this. And I like to leave some chunkiness in here when I chop them because if you reduce it to a powder -- which is fine, some people do that -- but if you want to take the time to reduce it down to a powder, then you lose the nuance of using the nuts. You lose that subtlety from having the nuts actually in there. So like I said, I leave mine a little chunky from what a lot of people are accustomed to. And you can see, you just kind of go like this and just cut through them until you reach the desired texture that you're looking for. I'm almost there with these. These are really close, so we'll just give it another second or two. Okay. Let's go and get some more out here. All right. Now you can see I'm done here and, like I said, I left some chunk in there, so we've got some texture. And I didn't cut it down to where it was just basically powder. So now, we'll put this away and we will move on to actually melting our butter and making our pie crust."
