"Now I'm going to talk a little bit about erasers. You really want to be specific with your erasers because charcoal is very messy and if you have a harder eraser. First of all you're going to get it really dirty with your charcoal fairly quickly and it's probably not going to smudge the way you want it to. If you have a hard eraser like this one, you can probably get some good lines if that is what you're going for in terms of smudging your charcoal. You probably won't be able to actually erase it so what I recommend and what I really like is this kneaded rubber eraser. These are great here is actually one that I taken out of the package already and kneaded. You take it out and you really just want to kind of warm it up with your hands and stretch it around. You can break it apart; this is going to be great because you can actually erase probably not completely with like super black charcoal. But this will give you the most amount of lead way with erasing and you can also use it to smudge, you can really use this as a tool to move around your charcoal and create some highlights. When it gets dirty, you can just sort of fold it into itself and keep just sort of turning it around and it will actually clean itself so this is a great eraser, I highly recommend it."
