"Now I'm going to talk to you a little bit about the different types of charcoal. I think a great starting type of charcoal is the vine charcoal and it comes in a little package like this. It basically its like a stick of charcoal like this and you can break it in half, it's great because you can use the edges of it or you can use the tip of it. So you can use it long ways if you want to fill in the larger shapes so it can really give you some nice coverage. It's really nice and soft so you can really sort of smudge it around and it's really great to work with. So I do recommend getting some the vine charcoal also you can get charcoal pencils and these will come in black, white or different colors as well. If you don't want to get that messy maybe you like to try the charcoal pencils so I would suggest taking a look at both of those. Also we have the little white pieces they are gray and come in different tones but these are great for highlights so I would suggest getting one of these as well."
