How to Prepare Hair for Flat Irons

"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to straighten out curly hair. See the difference between the side of the head now and this part that I just blow-dried. I wanted you to get a look at it too so you can realize what you do with that flat iron. Look at the difference in the texture in the hair. Now we're going to go to the side of her head and we're going to proceed to do the same. When we do it, we want to take one small section again and push this up out of our way. She has frizzier hair here. You might want to put a little bit more gloss or anti-frizz on that section. Don't worry, you won't oil it up. It'll just suck it up. By the ear, because it's going to get really hot, you just have to place your finger like that in the back so she doesn't get burned. You want to go ahead and do that here. Place it behind the ear. Just grab it again and I'll show you. Just place it underneath there and go like that. Let go and just go in here like that."
