Video Transcript

"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to straighten out curly hair. I went ahead and showed you the last piece because it's important. When I got to the mid way of the head, about right here, because of the way her hair is, I have to get close to the root like this. I have to push her hair out like this, then get it like this, and the going out coming towards me. Before because it was lower to the bottom, we went ahead and did it down this way. As you go into the middle, to the sides, and to the top, you're going to go out in different directions like that. When we get to the center I can show you. This is the back of the head and it's really completely straight as you see. Real flat on her head. You can go ahead and go as many times as you want if you like. If you don't feel it's straight enough, then go in there and do it again. Do it again until you get the straightness into it. Put a little sheen in it. Not anything too heavy. Notice her hair moves, it flows, and that's what you want when you're dealing with the curly hair. You want it to move. It may be a little static, but don't worry about that. You'll be fine."
