"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Lizbeth Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida, and today we're going to show you how to straighten out curly hair. For hair like this though, those tools are just not enough. I think. If you want that customer to have straight hair for a long, long time, I believe that now a days, a good old fashioned flat iron is what's in and which we use in our industry. A lot of people tend to be afraid of the flat iron. I think everybody's getting into it. You want a nice good flat iron that's very hot. This one goes from 250-450 degrees. Her hair is kind of fine. We might use about 350 degrees on it. You don't want to use too much heat on hair, because you burn off the head of hair. There's different types of flat irons. Some are short. You can use something like this. If you want, you can also use something like this, which is thick. You can use a nice thick, big, flat iron. It finishes faster. You work faster with it. I'll show you a couple of demonstrations, and you choose what's comfortable for you. I'll be using this one all the way through. This is my favorite."
