"Hi, I'm Amelia. On behalf of expertvillage.com we'll be talking about highlighting at home. When choosing highlights you do want to figure out whether your a cool base or a warm base. Because you don't wan to be a platinum blond if it's not going to look good on you so the best way to tell if your cool or warm or I should say the easiest way is to look into your eyes. If you look in your iris and you see a lot of gold flex then those are the colors that are going to look best on you. So if you choose sort of the receding color that is in your iris at a highlight you should not go wrong at all. Another easy way to tell if your cool or warm is to see whether if you look good in bright colors or more muted colors. If you look good in bright jewel tones you tend to be a cool, if you look good in more muted golden tones or warm tones then obviously your warm. Another way is if you look good in silver or gold. If you look good in silver you're cool, if you look good in gold then you're warm and there are a few lucky people who look good in both. So those are the people who can pretty much pull off any color that they want and so that is an easy way to tell what colors look best on you and if you are a cool or a warm."
