Summary: Learn how to provide healthy food for a New Year's Eve party from an event planning expert in this event planning video.
"Three! Two! One! Happy New Year! On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Matt Cail, and I'm going to show you how to throw a New Year's Eve party. Healthy options are totally compatible with New Year's Eve, so definitely make sure not to underestimate having some fruit for your food. It just doesn't have to be tortilla chips, meat and cheese. It can also be some nice fruits and veggies for your New Year's Eve menu; this is very easy to do. One of the easiest things you can actually do is to take some good, mature grapefruit. Grapefruit are most--well usually--you can find them still even around the holidays; especially if you have some good farmer's markets nearby. You take your grapefruit; peel it up, slice it up and put it out on plates. Good stuff. It takes a while to cut up, but it's very rewarding. Apples: even better yet; simpler to cut. So definitely think of apples, oranges, and grapefruit are really, really good and easy things to serve. You can also have bananas, but they tend to get a little mushy; so I definitely go a little more toward the citrus side of things. They also have a sharp, tangier taste which will offset your drinks rather nicely; something else you shouldn't forget about. Also, I have seen parties with other health items; these have included people servicing small bowls of yogurt. This may seem a little bit strange but seems to have been picking up steam over the last couple of years. I haven't seen too much in the way of salad; outside of celery. Celery and hummus is another option, another green that you can also add to your New Year's Eve menu for your guests."
