"Three, two, one, Happy New Year. On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Matt Cail and I'm going to show you how to throw a New Year's Eve party. Where to begin on food options for your guests at your New Year's Eve party. Unlike a lot of other options, there's a lot less guidance out there when it comes to what actually your guests can eat. So, this gives you a lot of flexibility here. First off, Christmas leftovers. While I may say nix the Christmas decorations, don't have any of those for your New Year's Eve party, food is a little different. You have some of that leftover fruit cake, you have some leftover turkey, before it goes bad, it's okay to slice it up. Maybe make it look a little new. Put it on a new plate and put it out for people to eat. Especially if you can convert it over into, like nice party finger food. Food at a New Year's Eve party, well, it's a little bit more complicated than just chips and dip. At the same time though, it's not like you're having people for dinner either, so you should kind of still maintain a little bit of a party, easy to eat flair. So it can look like leftover Christmas, Christmas dinner, holiday stuff that you can then get rid of at your New Year's Eve party so long as it's still good and also looks good. Also, in addition to that, think about having some nice cheeses. You know, like your smoked Gouda. That's good stuff to have at your party. Slice it up, cube it up, put it out on plates. You can also have, of course, like chips and some dips. Although, personally, I would favor some tortilla chips and some salsa. Maybe even some cheese on the side. Or better yet, guacamole rather than just having like your basic chips and French onion dip. I would go like at least one or two notches above that. You can also look to having some sliced up meats, turkey sausage, and pepperoni. And if you really, really have to call out the dogs, you can always order out for pizza if it's really, if you're not going to do anything too fancy for your New Year's Eve party. You just want to give some people some food to make sure they're not just drinking and not eating anything."
