"3, 2, 1. Happy New Year! On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Matt Cail, and I'm going to show you how to throw a New Year's Eve party. At midnight, all of your guests are going to expect to have, like, a little "ding" toast of their flutes, or cups, or whatever else they're holding and the drinks that are in those containers. but those need not be alcoholic. Alcohol is purely a choice. If it's not your scene, not your deal, don't have it at your party. No problem either which way, especially if your guests feel the same. There are several non-alcoholic options you can serve. There are a variety of juices often times used for alcoholic mixers. Leave out the alcohol, no problem. You have cranberry juice, blackberry juice, apple juice, grape juice, all sorts of good juices, which you can put some ice in there. You can also mix them with some lime juice and also with some soda water. There you go , you have a little bit of a drink, and it's no alcohol involved. You, of course, also have your old, you know, like, sodas and pops, depending on what part of the country you are; whatever you call it. Which you can always get at your store. You can get the upper line name, big names. You can also just get your grocery store name brands and save some money. Good ol' H2O. If you're serving alcohol, if you're not serving alcohol, some of your guests should have easy access to water to remain well hydrated more than anything else will do for you. Lastly, if you want to get more of kind of that wine feel, you have a lot of sparling ciders out there. Heck, it even looks like a wine bottle. So that's another option, especially if people want something a little more classy to clink their glasses together with at midnight."
