"3, 2, 1...Happy New Year! On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Matt Cail, and I'm going to show you how to throw a New Year's Eve party. If you're going to serve alcohol at you New Year's Eve party and you've already thought through about making sure you drink responsibly and remember all your guest do, too and everyone gets home safe. Let's cover what you're actually going to serve to all those guests. first off, you're going to have, you're going to have a stable of some hard liquor. Definitely some of the staples that you should consider having: tequila, vodka, triple sec, those are some of like the good, big basics. Or if you add that into some margarita mix, or for your vodka into some berry juice preferably cranberry juice, you're good to go. You have some nice, easy, very low lying mixed drinks fruit there in the form of your margaritas, cosmopolitans; these are very easy drinks to make. You can do them with the old shakers, but you don't necessarily need it. Often times these are drinks you can eye and mix if you're expecting a very hectic time with your alcohol. Now, if you want to kind of avoid hard liquor, and not have mixed drinks or shots at your party, that's O.K., too. Wine is a really, really good alternative. Wine is increasingly popular in the United States of America. It's getting close, but hasn't quite yet supplanted beer. So you can consider having several bottles of white and red wine at your party. Often times, Pinoit Grigio and the, I would probably say, the Pinoit Gri is the most easy for people who don't necessarily even like wine to drink. That's my personal opinion. The last thing to have at your party, which is still the most popular of New Year's Eve and a whole lot of other social gatherings: beer. Beer of all sorts of shapes and sizes and tastes and everything you want. Clear beer, dark beer, light beer, heavy beer, etcetera, etcetera. You can basically have, they have lots of winter ales, you have like your good ol', like, dark and ambers. Really, if you want to be a connoisseur of beer, go out and gets some good, nice micro brew. You can go out and get your keg, but if you're looking for something a little bit beyond the college New Year's Eve party scene, definitely move beyond kegs. "
